A beautiful day

“The proposal was made right after New Year´s fireworks as soon as we got back home. While we were away in the city center, Maxime asked our friends to help decorating our apartment with helium balloons to which our memorable photos were attached. So after we got back and I opened the door I saw all these balloons hanging from the ceiling and him getting on his knee! It was a very heartwarming and romantic moment!”

The photographer

Originally from St. Petersburg, the Russian city whose arts (architecture, literature, music, theater) have influenced her since childhood. She has always been passionate about painting, especially by the works of the Impressionists with their pastel colors and blur.

She started taking pictures after her departure in France and this passion turned into a profession. She is looking for pure color and tenderness in her photos. Through digital photography, she discovered the magic of film where she found the mysterious “impressionist”. Located in Luxembourg, she works in France and travels throughout Europe for wedding photos.

The advices of the bride

1- There definitely will be something that does not go the way you planned, for example my makeup and hair artist had an unfortunate fire in her apartment exactly the morning of our wedding day! You just have to let your perfectionism go and try not to hang up on details so much.

2- Some alternative to the classical wedding dance (in case you are not that into it) is much appreciated by the guests. We made a performance with shadow dance, which was quite memorable and fun for us to do.

3- If you wedding is abroad, try to do all the official papers in your home country. It helped to make our wedding so touching and special, because we asked close people to hold the ceremony and get us married in front of the family.

  • Organization

“It took us almost ten months to organize the wedding. The biggest struggle was that it was in another country. We were traveling to Barcelona twice, first to chose the place and then to talk to a person taking care of the event. It was part of the organization and we really enjoyed our trips.”

  • Budget

“We used Spanish website Bodas.net to find local catering, busses and other services, there was also a very helpful option to make a budget calculator.
I think the place and good food were in priority for us, after that our dress/costume, then all other details”

  • Beautiful inspirations

“The inspiration came with the place itself : wineyard with sun, rustic materials around, field flowers. We wanted to keep it simple, but with some sophistication. The vendor was suggesting some decoration for the tables that we could choose from, we added an old bicycle, jute string with clips for the photo booth and that’s it. The place itself didn’t need much of a decoration.”

  • The dream place

“We found it from bodas.net website. Cal Blay sent us information about all the locations they have and we chose Mirador de les Caves.”

  • A talented photographer

“My aunt was acquainted with the photographer and she asked her if she would like to shoot our wedding. Nadia agreed and we were very happy that she agreed to come from Luxembourg.”
